Nature Town
The next morning…
Slowly but surely, the sun began to rise, illuminating the expansive forest. The last remnants of darkness were erased, and the forest given it's pleasant glow. Over at a small pond, two pokemon began to wake, the bright morning sun reflecting off the clear water and onto the sleeping pokemon's faces. Angel, annoyed by the new bright light on her face, stretched and yawned. She was a bit stiff, having slept on the ground, but still felt rather rested.
As she stretched, her movement made Douglas stir in his sleep and, despite being such a heavy sleeper, also began to wake up. His movement alerted Angel to hi
An Angel's Guardian
Douglas awoke with a start. He had been having a dream but had suddenly awoken for no real reason. He scanned the cave and sighed. It was still early in the night. The fire pit they had made still gave off a very faint light, not providing much to aid sight. The moonlight illuminated the entrance to the cave, giving it a bluish glow.
Lying back down, the Riolu was about to fall asleep again when he heard a fain noise. Sitting back up, he looked around, only to see that Angel's sleeping bag was empty. Closing his eyes, he searched for her aura, only to find it a bit to the south, near a small pond.

The Heat of Battle
Upon hearing the new voice, Douglas was immediately up and looking towards the entrance of the cave. There, in the entrance was a dark figure with glowing red eyes. It was hard to tell what pokemon it was but one thing was clear, it wasn't friendly.
"We had almost given up on capturing these two pokemon," the voice continued, more pairs of eyes appearing. "Thanks to you, that's not the case."
"What do you want with us," Aroma said, growling angrily at the voice.
"Simple," the voice said, laughing slightly. "We want you and your brother. You are so strong, you will make a fine addition to the darkness."

A Journey Begins
The next morning, everyone woke up and after a quick breakfast, left for the city. Dave also decided to come with the family, thinking that maybe he would find something familiar to jog his memory. They stopped at the temple to tell Lucas what had happened and even he was quite surprised at the news. After telling them all to be careful, he handed Douglas a small pouch full of light gems.
"There's not enough in their for everyone you meet, but I'd advise giving it to some of the more important people on your journey," said Lucas after giving him the pouch. "Just be careful. I feel that this is the first step you will tak
Decisions
"There. Feeling better?" Leo asked as he finished treating Victor's wounds.
"Yes. Thank you," he said.
"Ok. Now that you are both feeling better, can you tell us what happened?" Mark asked. After recovering from the battle, all of the pokemon were now sitting in the family room of Douglas's house.
"Ok, I'll start," Victor said, sitting where he rest of the pokemon could see him. "Today started out like any other day. We all woke up, ate breakfast and then did our daily chores. After we had finished, we decided to head into town and maybe also pay you guys a visit."
"But as we were walking along sunset beach," Angel said,
New Powers and New Dangers.
As Douglas emerged from the temple, he was greeted by a beautiful day. The sun was shining with a few clouds here and there and a gentle breeze blew across the field as he approached where his family and Angle's were sitting. Hearing him approach, Julie turned and smiled at her son.
"Good morning Douglas," she said.
"Hi big brother," Jewel said running up to hug her brother. "Do you like my gift?"
"I most certainly do," Douglas said, "I have a feeling that it will come in handy."
"I was wondering when you would wake up," Angle said, chuckling. "Though Jewel seamed quite upset when she got out here that sh
The Trial of Fire
Douglas slowly opened his eyes. He was once again standing in complete darkness. As he looked around, he couldn't see anything. He did, however, still feel the unusual heat surrounding him. As he continued to stand there, he felt the air continue to heat up until it felt almost like a hot summer day. Suddenly, the ground around Douglas erupted into flames.
Surprised Douglas entered a defensive stance incase the flames decided to attack. Instead, the flames simply formed a circle around the Riolu. Then, four small lines of fire expanded from the circle before forming another circle and another until there were five circle
The Artifact
Back to the present...
Douglas's mouth was open by the time Julie finished the story.
"Wow," he muttered after a while. "I really did that?"
"Yes," Mark said. "We both saw it, but like Lucas had said, it was best for us to wait. We really couldn't have done anything else."
"So now what?" Douglas asked.
"Now," said Lucas, "we go to see if you can use the artifact. This way."
Lucas began to lead the group of pokemon towards the back of the temple. It didn't take long for the group to reach a room with a strange tablet covering one wall.
"Is that the artifact?" asked Angel.
"No." s
Explanations
The Jolteon slowly opened his eyes and blinked a few times as they adjusted to the light. Once he could see clearly, he gasped.
"What happened here!?" he yelled as he jumped to his feet. Douglas frowned, surprised, because the electric pokemon had just been pounded against a brick wall not five minutes ago and yet stood straight without so much as a waver. The Jolteon swung his head around, taking in everything until he noticed Douglas and the rest of the pokemon.
Upon seeing their injuries, he walked towards them and asked, "Hey, are you all ok?"
Mark stepped in front of the others. "Stay right there," h
A Strange Battle
Surprised by the sudden attack, Douglas used protect at the last second to avoid damage. The attack was strong, but his protect held, though it cost a lot of the Riolu's energy. The black Jolteon simply snarled as the protect disappeared and dashed forward, his teeth sparking as he prepared a thunder fang. Just as he was getting close to Douglas, a silver aura sphere hit right in between the two pokemon, knocking both of them back. When the smoke cleared, Mark, Julie, Flare, and Victor were standing in front of Douglas while Angel was next to him helping him get up.
"You are in such trouble, young man," said J
